National Breathe Free hosted its annual Breathe Free Conference from April 24 to 28, giving out several awards, including the Lauren Campbell Award to Mark Kline of Frederick Breathe Free.
"The Lauren Campbell Award honors those who exemplify excellence and compassion in their roles, and Mark Kline, a Physician Assistant at Frederick Breathe Free, embodies these qualities,” said Matt Ghanem, founder and chairman of National Breathe Free. “His unwavering dedication to patient care and his compassionate approach set a high standard for us all. Mark's remarkable contributions truly deserve this recognition."
Mark, a former Navy search and rescue instructor, discovered his passion for the medical field while serving at NAS Mayport. After his enlistment, he earned a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Maryland and a Master's in Health Science with a PA certification from George Washington University in 1995. He trained in emergency medicine, trauma, and ICU at PG Hospital in Maryland and practiced for 17 years. As an Army reservist, Mark served in Iraq from 2003-2004 and 2007-2008, providing medical care to soldiers and civilians.
